What comes to mind when you think of the word Brand? Websters definition is: a class of goods identified by name as the product of a single firm or manufacturer; a characteristic or distinctive kind.
Branding is an important part of your business. No matter how much you grow, years from now your branding will be a part of what your business is and what it communicates to prospective clients. Not only does branding include your tag line and logo, today it includes content. What is the meaning behind your brand? What are others saying about your brand? Not only do images have power to move customers to action, words also have power! Are you inspiring others talk about your brand?
Where does inspiration come from….images and words! Use your logo in a variety of ways. The obvious include business cards, stationary, fliers, postcards, website, social media etc.. The more often customers see your logo, the more often they will recall your brand and any experience they have had with your brand.
Regarding the value of creating content for your brand, Bryan Rhoads, a global content strategy @Intel states “Today’s web is an endless 24/7 cycle fed by content and social actions. In this cycle, brands are realizing that content is currency …” Words are valuable in helping our customers talk about our brand. Give them something to talk about. Something they would be willing to share with a friend. When content is shared it becomes valuable. It becomes part of your branding. You can’t control if it’s talked about positively or negatively, but you do need to create content to market your brand in this 24/7 web cycle.
